Matte Painting 01

This is my first attempt at matte painting. This was an assignment for our 3D class at school. First we set up a simple, basic blocking scene, exported it from 3D Max and applied the textures in Photoshop.

This is a cartoony version of me I did for class... last friday we had a conference call with a guy by the name of Craig Sost who is currently I think associate producer or something along those lines at Disney working on the The Princess and the Frog. He was kind enough to give him an hour of his morning to talk to some of us kids all the way over on the east coast in good ole New Brunswick, Canada. As a thank you everyone in our class is drawing themselves and signing the work hopefully and it will be put into a big document and sent to him....so this is my contribution
